Teresa Crowder is an Atlanta-based artist who has worked in a wide variety of different mediums; her work has recently been featured in VoyageATL and Bold Journey Magazine. This exhibition focuses on her recent series of “clay paintings,” formed from local Georgia clay spread over wooden boards and etched with elaborate designs. The series stands somewhere between painting and sculpture, employing a primitivist approach that feels ancient but is also refreshingly unique in today’s art scene.
