OJUJU – A solo exhibition by Dacio Demo, curated by Ugo Agoruah

“Ojuju” means “mask” in Yoruba; “Ojuju Calabar” refers to frightening masks worn during a masquerade festival. Used in everyday conversation, it can be translated as “evil spirit.” This exciting new collection of paintings and other works by Dacio Demo explores the darker side of spirituality, showcasing the artist’s vision of evil forces affecting humans and the world around us.
